Tasting Notes
Straw yellow in color. The bouquet is fruity and floral with inviting with notes of meadow flowers, golden apples and fig. On the palate the flavor is refreshing but smooth, thanks to the balance between the wine's structure, acidity and fruity notes. The finish is long and fragrant, reminiscent of almonds.
Pairing Suggestions
Enjoy Ruffino Orvieto Classico alone as an apéritif, or pair it with salads, veal Milanese, linguine with white clam sauce, sushi, or Chinese pot-stickers. It also makes a great picnic wine with fried chicken and potato salad.

A Light, Sunny White |

The Ruffino 2008 Orvieto is a nice, light, fruity white wine that is exemplary of Orvieto. There is a lightly tar/petrol aftertaste that is not at all unpleasant. |

Excellent |

I am not a big wine drinker at all. Altho, if I do drink it, I prefer white wines as they are more fruity and dont have what I consider a harsh after taste. (can we see I am not the expert wine drinker? LoL) A lady at the store recommended this one to me, and I must say, I love it. It has a very smooth taste, with a crisp fruity flavor. So wether you are the expert or a beginner like myself, I recommend this to all. Enjoy! |
