91 Points, Wine Spectator - Fleshy red berry, rose, blue flower, mint and baking spice aromas take center stage. The racy palate is still somewhat closed but offers Morello cherry layered with white pepper, alpine herbs and spice alongside assertive tannins and nervous acidity. Young and tightly wound, this should evolve into a classic.
90 Points, Vinous / Antonio Galloni - The 2010 Barolo is weightless, lifted and quite pretty. Freshly cut flowers, mint, crushed rocks, red berries and licorice are all laced together in a super-expressive, feminine Barolo from Prunotto. The 2010 can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring, but it also has enough energy and underlying structure to develop nicely in bottle for a handful of years.
Garnet red in color with ample and complex aromas of violets andberry fruit, this wine is full and velvety in flavor and very balanced. Its structure and body make it an ideal match for meat and game dishes and for cheese.
Rack of lamb, grilled beef filet, truffle stuffed quail and aged cheeses.
