91 Points, The Wine News - Garnet hue. Quite compact aromas of red cherry and forest floor. Sweet, fresh and pretty flavors of strawberry and raspberry are as approachable as a serious Pinot can be. Tingly finish.

Vintage Note
The winter was considerably harsher than in previous years, with frequent snow and below freezing temperatures, sometimes -15 C. At the end of March, vegetation began to stir, there was no frost damage, and May was calm. Flowering took place in mid-June before very warm weather across the region until mid-July, with temperatures above 30 C. August brought cooler temperatures and freshness, and light, regular showers came often. The vines lacked some energy at the start of veraison. As in 2004, September temperatures and sunlight helped the grapes reach full maturity. The entire harvest period occurred during warm, dry conditions. The official harvest date in the Cote de Beaune and Chablis was September 18, 2006, and the harvest began at Olivier Leflaive on September 19, 2006.
