ABOUT THE WINE
Delicate floral aromas grace the entry of this Malbec, followed by bright red stone fruit.  Flavors of cherry, mulberry and plum develop in the mouth, joined by licorice, vanilla and baking spices. A subtle smokiness lingers across the finish. Well balanced with soft tannins and inviting easiness, this wine pairs nicely with oily, well-structured sauces such as creamy Alfredo or rich Carbonara. Roasted beef tenderloin is an excellent match to advance the rich fruit flavors and highlight the wine's complexity.

The grapes for the Malbec were hand harvested in the morning when temperatures were cool and acids high. Cool fermentation in stainless steel further retained a bright fruit expression. To extract maximum aromas and colors, we used daily pump-over and delestage, followed by extended maceration for body and finesse. Approximately 30 percent of the wine was aged in French oak casks for 12 months. The wine was aged an additional 3 months in bottle for balance and roundness.

ABOUT THE VINEYARDS
Grapes were sourced from the Tunuyan, Tupungato, La Consulta and Lujan de Cuyo regions of Mendoza. A renowned growing area for Malbec, the vineyards sit on the foothills of the snowcapped Andes Mountains, which provide a cooling influence to the startling sun-filled days. The warm, bone-dry air is joined by rocky, well-drained soils, producing concentrated fruitiness, intense color, and soft tannins. The vineyards of Lujan de Cuyo, which sit between 800-1100 meters in sandy soil, give the wine the soft plum, cherry, and vanilla characters while the higher altitude vineyards of the Uco Valley impart the intensity of color, concentration and tannins.
