Eastern Washington's low annual rainfall and cool nights during the growing season make it the perfect area for producing consistently great late harvest wines. The Hogue Cellars has developed a style of Late Harvest Riesling that is crisp yet moderately sweet. Hogue Riesling opens with aromas of ripe apricot and peach preserves, as well as hints of green tea, orange zest, and orange blossom. Classic Riesling fl avors of apricot nectar, violet, tangerine, honeysuckle, and orange blossom are well balanced by a refreshing acidity. Pair with an appetizer plate of blue cheese, chevre, and smoked gouda, or serve for dessert with poached pears, baked apples, or almonds and hazelnuts.

Hogue vs Moscato
I agree with the above, very nice wine. Similar to Moscato, of which I enjoy as well.

Hogue Late Harvest Riesling 2009
A very nice wine to relax with.. A little sweet, w/a light bite to it... I''m a Moscato drinker, with that being said; this riesling tastes pretty good to me!
