A deliciously rich blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, and Petite Sirah, our Red Velvet blend delivers over-the-top aromas of chocolate, deep dark blackberries and luscious red fruits that follow through to the palate, finishing with a hint of coconut and creamy mocha.
Each varietal adds distinct characteristics that lends structure, aroma and depth of flavor. Specifically, the Zinfandel lends ripe red fruit and jammy strawberry, the Merlot contributes blueberry compote with hints of chocolate, lending silky tannins while the Petite Sirah is the backbone, enhancing the color and texture of the wine. We ferment each varietal separately before blending. Finally we age the entire blend on a unique oak regime which builds the texture and contributes
to the delicious creaminess.
This wine is very versatile and pairs nicely with a BLT, chili, or chocolate cake.
