88 Points, Wine Spectator - Lithe and opentextured, featuring pretty red berry and cherry flavors at the center, shaded with spice and coffee notes. The finish lingers nicely.
87 Points, Wine Advocate - The purple-colored 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Estates (225,000 cases) spent 16 months in 33% new oak. Cedar, tobacco, incense, violets, spice box, black currant, and blackberry aromas inform the nose of a layered, spicy, easy-to-understand Cabernet that is nicely balanced and moderately lengthy. It is a very good value that will provide enjoyment for another 4-5 years.
Winemaker Notes
Aromas of vanilla bean, coffee bean, and dark cherries lead to a mediumbodied palate accented by dark chocolate covered pomegranate. The supple finish offers silky tannins with hints of dark chocolate and spice.
