Tasting Notes
Intense red with violet reflections. Aromas are complex with lots of cherry and earthy notes. Soft, round palate with flavors of fresh berries and some spice.
Winemaker Notes
Bonizio is a wine produced predominantly from Sangiovese grapes and with a Maremma signature. The Maremma, known for its soil and climate characteristics, grants a generous and constant maturation of Sangiovese, that gives Bonizio its remarkable personality.
After harvest, grapes are put through traditional methods for red winemaking and an extended fermentation, which lasts over a period of 10-12 days.
With its well-rounded acidity and mild tannins, Bonizio is extremely versatile and pairs well with a wide range of poultry, meat and pasta dishes. Great with barbeque.
