90 Points, Wine Enthusiast - This is not your average red blend, because it has outstanding concentration, multiple layers of dark-fruit flavors and cedary, spicy nuances as well as a richly tannic texture. It will pair well with a grilled lamb chop, and should improve with a little age.
89 Points, Tasting Panel - A lot of TLC seems to go into this blend of 42% Petite Sirah, 34% Zinfandel, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Merlot. Aged for 24 months in one- and two-year-old American oak gives this a spiced vanilla backbone in a creamy body. Brooding black fruit is luscious and bold and black pepper gives it more edge. Great value.
Phantom, Bogle's mysterious apparition of ripe berry and relentless spice, returns to haunt wine lovers. Full of concentration and intensity, this wine will tease, tantalize and linger long after the last sip is gone. Wild berries and black pepper are framed by the influence of oak aging with baking spices and a hint of toasty vanilla.
