91 Points, James Suckling - His shows plenty of dark fruits with graphite and espresso undertones. The palate is full and round with supple caressing tannins and a savory fruity yet reserved finish. Awesome value.
86 Points, Wine Advocate - The 2014 Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon has more fruit from the Uco Valley to compensate for the slightly warmer growing season. 30% of the grapes had semi-carbonic maceration and 10% of the wine was in contact with inner staves. It's a ripe, hedonistic Cabernet with creaminess and plenty of spicy, peppery aromas over a core of ripe plums and blackberries. The lush palate has a velvety texture and pronounced flavors that is approachable and easy to drink.
Our Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon expresses the deep, rich dark berry fruit notes that are hallmarks of the variety, complemented nicely by slight herbal characteristics. Firm tannins and oak aging merge to add complex layers of vanilla, clove and black pepper to the wine.
